PRESS RELEASE: Travel to Travis Laplante's Inner Garden 🌱

Journey to Travis Laplante's Inner Garden

“head-spinning flights of circular breathing share space with sparse, prayerful lyricism”

-Rolling Stone on Travis Laplante

Sax player Travis Laplante returns with Inner Garden, a nirvana-inducing three movement work that showcases his passion for seamlessly merging improvisation and composition that was inspired by a dreamlike state he experienced when he received the commission from percussion/piano ensemble Yarn/Wire and Roulette. The album drops tomorrow!

A Dynamic Musical Exploration of Race, Class & Power

"Joseph C. Phillips Jr. creates music that sounds classical, funky and sometimes cinematic.
... hard to categorize." — NPR

We're thrilled to announce The Grey Land, a mono-opera written by Joseph C. Phillips Jr. and recorded with his ensemble Numinous for release Nov. 20. Featuring soloists soprano Rebecca L Hargrove and narrator Kenneth Browning, the undefinable work, chronicles a single Black mother and her son for a dynamic exploration of race, class and power in 21st century America.
