TINY MIX TAPES: TIGUE “Sitting” (excerpt)

By Rick Weaver

"Wire ties with polka dot patterns come in every color. Pull them out of that tub over there, and lay them out on these carpet squares. We will choose the ones that fit the best. The ones we find to be the “splashiest.” Then we’ll bend ‘em around these drum shells, looping them through the rods and lugs, to form a drum circle. Now our tribe is ready to engage in a moment or two of discovery, like the first time the goalie smoked a spliff and blasted R. Wyatt simultaneously. After that, we will shift the results into proper nouns and Composition. We’ll start tomorrow, bright and early. See you then!"
